Made with, organic Australian beeswax infused for 30 days with calendula, sunflower and carrot seed extract. Finished with jojoba and Vitamin E for healthy skin and a soft finish.
Essential oils are Australian Certified Organic (ACO). Signature recipe for 10 years, beeswax ethically harvested in Australia.
Soap Bar
Made with, coconut and sunflower oils blended with calendula, sunflower and carrot seed extract, plus jojoba and Vitamin E. Vegetable based, naturally scented, no added fragrance.
To use, lather soap in hands, apply to coat, rinse well.
2 in 1 Shampoo
Made with, filtered rainwater, handmade glycerine and organic coconut oil, lightly infused with lavender and eucalyptus for a clean, calm wash.
Scent, lavender and eucalyptus, low foaming. Shake before use, apply to wet coat, leave two to three minutes, rinse well, towel dry.
All Day Spritzer
Made with, pure aqua water infused with lavender and eucalyptus. Pairs beautifully with our shampoo.
To use, shake, spray two to three times over coat, brush in if needed. Also suitable for bedding and the car.
Hypo Shampoo + Spritzer
Shampoo, filtered rainwater, handmade glycerine and organic coconut, low scent, no perfumes or added oils.
Spritzer, filtered rainwater and organic Australian lavender, gentle for sensitive pups.
What We Never Use
- Alcohol, sodium lauryl sulphate, coco betaine
- Parabens, artificial colours, artificial thickeners
- Synthetic perfumes, petrochemicals, chemical detergents, preservatives
- Palm oil products, toxins, pesticides
- Imported or bleached waxes, mineral fillers
Good to Know
- All products are non medicated and cosmetic in nature.
- We use only 0.5 to 1 percent essential oils in our bases.
- Tin colours may vary between white, silver and matte black, ingredients and size remain the same.
- Bark Butter, has been pampering dogs since 2015.

Our shipping rates were recently updated.
Like many small businesses across Australia, we've been impacted by significant fuel surcharge increases from Australia Post driven by the ongoing global fuel crisis. We held off for as long as we could, but unfortunately these costs are no longer something we're able to absorb.
We know nobody loves a price increase and we genuinely don't love passing one on. But we're committed to keeping Barkmere sustainable so we can keep doing what we love — making products your dog truly deserves.

We ship from Brisbane every business day. Order between Sunday and Thursday and we dispatch by the next business day. Orders placed on Friday or Saturday dispatch on Monday.

From my kitchen to Barkmere.
Hi, I’m Fraser and this is Rosie - Norman’s official stunt double. Norman is fully retired now and currently parked under an air conditioner.
Back in 2015, I started a little brand called Bark Butter™ after seeing my best mate struggle with skin irritations, hot spots and sore paws. As a chef for more than twenty years, I’ve always believed that nature holds the key to wellbeing, so I began mixing away in my own kitchen to find a better way.
After a few trials and a lot of testing on Norman, I created a simple blend that changed everything. His skin healed, his paws softened, and I finally had my happy, healthy bulldog back. Soon, friends were asking for the same balm for their dogs and before long, Bark Butter™ was born.
So, why the change to Barkmere?
We’ve been around for over 10 years now, and as our range grew to include shampoos, soaps and grooming gear, we noticed something interesting: many people naturally associated the name "Bark Butter" with just one product, our original repair balm.
We realized it was time to give the business a name that represents everything we offer, not just the balm. That’s where Barkmere™ comes in.
Barkmere™ is now the name of the brand as a whole, representing our entire grooming range. The Bark Butter™ name you know and love isn't going anywhere, it lives on as the name of our hero product, the Bark Butter Balm.
Barkmere™ means pure and simple. It’s our way of celebrating a decade of natural dog care while keeping everything else exactly the same. Same team, same chef-created formulas, same trusted products, just with a fresh look that clears up the confusion and sets us up for the next chapter.
