Hi, I’m Fraser and this is Norman. Back in 2015, I started a little brand called Bark Butter after seeing my best mate struggle with skin irritations, hot spots and sore paws. As a chef for more than twenty years, I’ve always believed that nature holds the key to wellbeing, so I began mixing away in my own kitchen to find a better way.

After a few trials and a lot of testing on Norman, I created a simple blend that changed everything. His skin healed, his paws softened, and I finally had my happy, healthy bulldog back. Soon, friends were asking for the same balm for their dogs and before long, Bark Butter was born.

Ten years later, that same care, quality and small batch craftsmanship now continue under a new name, Barkmere. The change reflects who we’ve become, a little more refined, a little more grown up, yet still true to our roots.

The Bark Butter name will always be part of our story. It now lives on as the Bark Butter Balm, the same trusted formula that started it all.

Barkmere means pure and simple. It’s our way of celebrating a decade of natural dog care while keeping everything you already know and love, same team, same formulas, same trusted products, just with a fresh look for the next chapter.
